Sorry Tex, but since you made this such an issue here, maybe everyone should know exactly what the issues really are.

First, Tonkin from the Canteen started all of this himself, by posting a solicitation for Proud Patriots Inc. at clownposse. That’s what started this, nothing more and nothing less. When he did, the posse checked the company out.

Here is what they found:

1. Proud Patriots Inc. is not a valid and legal entity, having been terminated in July of 2005, eight months after they filed for corporate status.

2. Proud Patriots Inc. corporate status was terminated by the State of Virginia for failure to file its annual report and to pay its fees.

3. Proud Patriots Inc. has no legal right to solicit donations on the internet, having failed to register for permission to solicit in its home state of Virginia, as well as all other states, as is required by law.

Basically, what that means TX, is that Proud Patriots is operating outside of the law in soliciting for donated funds. There is no ifs, ands or buts about it.

When questioned about this, Tonkin went berserk, and posted an asinine thread about troops being attacked in order to deflect interest in Proud Patriots illegal status and operations.

When Diva Betsey Ross asked on the thread for confirmation of Proud Patriots’ legal status, she was banned, but not after she was attacked by freepmail by Trident/Delta who claimed to be a private investigator hired by Proud Patriots to investigate the claims of wrongdoing against it.

Interestingly, the PI claimed that all was well and good, that the whole issue was because “someone” has assumed that Proud Patriots had buddied-up on Free Republic’s 501(c)(3) filing, which was not only an untrue statement of the issues, but was completely asinine as well since Free Republic has no 501(c)(3) to join in on. Meanwhile, Tonkin posts that the investigator has proven that all the trouble is all because of Diva Betsey Ross.

But it gets better.

HiJinx, who is President of Proud Patriots Inc. wrote the posse and signed his letter as President of Proud Patriots LLC. Proud Patriots is not an LLC, so why did he lie about that?

HiJinx also claimed on LibertyPost that the paperwork problem was all the fault of Proud Patriots’ Registered Agent, and the Registered Agent not only denies that they were culpable, but has mentioned filing a lawsuit against Proud Patriots for blaming them. So why did HiJinx lie?

Why has Proud Patriots continued to illegally solicit funds across the United States?

Did you know that the “private eye” they hired is a freeper who has claimed no less than three different birthplaces on Free Republic? He has also claimed to be a former Vietnam POW, a claim which is in the stolen honor databases as being completely false. He has stated his years of service three different ways, has claimed to be a gunner, and a Navy seal? How do you feel about that? Did you know he has claimed to communicate with aliens? Did you know that he has disappeared since he was exposed? Why did they “hire” a sham private investigator to clear them, rather than tell the truth, apologize, stop soliciting and get their shit together?

Did you know that Proud Patriots claims that they were reinstated although the request for renewal of its corporate charter has been rejected by the State of Virginia?

Tell me, if someone robbed a bank and sent you a care package, would you defend the robbery? If someone snatched a purse from an old woman on the street corner, and sent you a care package, would that make the purse snatch a-okay in your book?

The charter was terminated on March 31st, 2006. It says so on the Virginia SCC. A lady named Susan Conroy wrote the PP *Registered Agent* and they said July 2005.

The Virginia SCC has reaffirmed it over and over that it was terminated as of March 31st, 2006.

As for the paperwork,PP has been told that snafu's in filing happens more times than they can count. They just sent a packet out for reinstatement and a fee to be paid. That is what is being done now.

And that comes straight from the VA State Government folks.



Answered above. They have talked to the proper officials and have been told to continue operating as they are and to simply resubmit their paperwork.

I.E. they are not doing anything illegal.
